Louisiana Channel has followed our work for three years and, during the summer of 2025, produced the documentary 'Make Materials Matter'.
Painting a portrait of Søren Pihlmann, his thinking and approach to architecture, which, among other things, sees collaboration with different professions and competencies as a central element. It speaks into a global discussion about resource consumption, sustainability and the challenges that architects, the construction industry and the global community in general need to address.
The 54-minute film is a production in the style of other Louisiana Channel films, where the portrayed person unfolds his or her practice. It premiered during the Copenhagen Architecture Biennial 2025 and was shown at international architecture film festivals in Rotterdam, New York, Zurich, Connecticut, Bergen, Toronto, Mumbai, Tallin and Helsinki.
The documentary is generously supported by The Dreyer Foundation.
