The built additions to LungA School are an open framework, a sculpted desire to be in an ever-present state of process. Shaped by its users, the community, the town and the landscape, weaving the spectacular and the ordinary. Never finalized. Always tying an intimate yet open-minded bond to whoever takes part in its becoming.

Drawing inspiration from both traditional craftsmanship and nearby industrial influences, the buildings reflect a fusion of refined techniques and standardized elements. Their design incorporates proportions aligned with human scale and a visible structural integrity achieved through repetitive patterns.

On the one hand, the new buildings seem both repetitive and generic. On the other hand, they are able to gently adapt to the irregular landscape.
We describe this as ’adaptive generics’. This does not only manifest itself in the relation between building and landscape but imbues the mindset shaping the whole project. The modular framework allows for ongoing customization by users, ensuring spaces remain flexible in both function and appearance, evolving organically over time.
