Exhibiting a suspended 1:1 structure of various compounds of hemp, lime, and water, constructed through compression casting and spraying.
The exhibition 'Reset Materials' at Copenhagen Contemporary explores the future of architecture with sample and full-scale works of new and experimental building materials, cultivated, recycled, de-constructed, or recomposed, towards a post-carbon architecture.
The studies began with hempcrete, a bio-composite material consisting of hemp, lime, and water. Through these three ingredients, the capabilities in relation to formwork, application, ratio, and density were explored.
The exhibition is curated in collaboration with curator and architect Chrissie Muhr, and created in a collaboration between CC and the Danish Association of Architects.
